# Health Checker

<Info>
  Available on Howly Pro and Agency.
</Info>

The Health Checker analyzes every workflow in your portal and produces a score from 0 to 100, reflecting how much of your portal is free from structural issues.

* **Green** — 70% or above. Your portal is in good shape.
* **Amber** — 50 to 69%. Issues worth addressing.
* **Red** — below 50%. Significant structural problems.

Issues are grouped into three severities: **critical**, **warning**, and **informational**.

## Critical

The issues most likely to be actively breaking something. These carry the most weight against your score.

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Broken Enrollments">
    A workflow enrolls records into another workflow that's deleted or inactive, so contacts hit a dead end and miss what was supposed to happen next.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Circular Dependencies">
    Two or more workflows are connected in a loop, enrolling records back into each other. This can cause repeat enrollment, duplicate sends, and reporting that's impossible to trust.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Warnings

Worth addressing, though not actively breaking.

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Duplicate Actions">
    The same property value is written by multiple active workflows, which creates race conditions and makes it unclear which workflow actually owns the field.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Empty Workflows">
    A workflow is configured with no actions. Records may enroll with nothing happening.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Stale Workflows">
    An active workflow hasn't been updated in over 6 months. Its logic may no longer match your current process.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Informational

Surfaced for awareness. These don't reduce your score, but they're useful for inventory and cleanup.

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Standalone Workflows">
    Active workflows with no connections to anything else. Often intentional, but worth confirming they aren't forgotten or redundant.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Possible Duplicates">
    Workflows with similar names that may indicate redundancy. Consider consolidating if they serve the same purpose.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Inactive Workflows">
    Workflows currently turned off, listed so you can decide whether to reactivate with a clear owner or archive for good.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## How the score is calculated

The score is based on the share of your workflows that are clean. A workflow with no issues earns full credit. A workflow with only warning-level issues earns half credit. A workflow with a critical issue earns none. Informational flags carry no penalty.

This means a portal with a handful of genuinely broken workflows scores lower than the raw count might suggest, instead of letting a large number of healthy workflows mask the ones that matter.

Every issue is clickable. Click a workflow name within a category to jump straight to it on the canvas.
