# Use Cases

> What the Howly MCP is actually good for, day to day.

The MCP is at its best when you'd rather ask than click. Here are the situations where it earns its place.

## First look at a new portal

You've just been given access to a client's portal and you have no idea what's in it. Instead of opening every workflow, ask Claude for the health score and the issues, and get a prioritized read in one message.

> "Give me the health score and the three worst problems in this portal, and tell me what to fix first."

## Scope a cleanup

Turn the issue list into an action plan you can price. Claude reads the issues through the MCP and orders them by severity, with a link to each workflow.

> "Build me a cleanup plan from the current issues, ordered by severity, with the workflows involved."

## Check one workflow fast

When you just need to know what a single workflow does, or whether it's part of a bigger problem, ask for it by name.

> "What does the Lead Nurture Sequence actually do, and does anything else depend on it?"

## Draft a client update

Because the MCP returns live data, you can ask Claude to summarize the portal's state in language a client will understand, then paste it into an email.

> "Summarize the current health of this portal for the client, in plain English, in one short paragraph."

## Ask across your whole stack

Pair the Howly MCP with HubSpot's own MCP and you can move between workflow structure and the rest of the CRM in a single conversation. Ask Howly what a workflow sets, then ask HubSpot who's enrolled, without leaving the chat.

<Note>
  Every answer is read-only. Claude tells you what to change and links the workflow. You make the change in HubSpot.
</Note>
