Howly 2.0
A full redesign of the app, built to stay readable whether your portal has 20, 200, or 2,000 workflows. The health logic, pricing, and gating all stayed the same. Everything around them got rebuilt.Workflow map
- Semantic zoom: workflow cards collapse into compact role labels when you zoom out and expand again when you zoom back in. Status and note markers stay visible even in compact mode, so you never lose the important flags.
- Redesigned workflow cards with object-type color bars, cleaner headers and chips, and a simplified details footer.
- Connection edges now take their color from the source workflow’s object type. Inactive paths stay red and dashed.
- Selecting a workflow dims everything unrelated so its path stands out. Isolated workflows are no longer dimmed automatically on the Connection Map.
- Branch actions now show branch names, conditions, “otherwise” paths, nested actions, and connected destinations.
- Workflow enrollment actions show the actual target workflow name instead of a generic ID.
- Refreshed canvas controls, filters dialog, and sidebar: pill-shaped search and controls, lighter panels, better spacing and hierarchy.
- The Impact Analyzer is now Property Impact.
- Added property-value filtering, so you can find workflows where a property equals a specific value.
- Better property extraction for HubSpot V4 workflows, including nested branches, filter groups, list branches, and both scalar and array values.
- Report export redesigned and renamed Audit Report.
- Four audience presets: Full, Executive, Client Handout, and Technical.
- Report cover text automatically switches between light and dark to stay readable on any brand background.
- Cached AI results are labeled as instant, so you know when a report is reusing recent analysis.
- Reworked the account page: Howly summary, plan status, next billing or access date, and a common-actions rail to subscription, branding, MCP, visualizer, and feedback.
- New inline MCP setup wizard for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible clients, with copy and download for the full configuration.
- Existing MCP connections can now be renamed inline or revoked.
- Added optional, privacy-safe analytics covering sign-in, checkout, HubSpot connection, AI audits, Property Impact, MCP actions, branding, and exports. If analytics ever fails, it cannot interrupt the app.
- New loading experience with a shared Howly-to-HubSpot brand lockup and reduced-motion handling.
Unlimited free workflows and AI agent visibility
- The free plan is now unlimited. When your trial ends, you keep the full map with no cap on how many workflows you can see. See every workflow, see how they connect, and move cards around the canvas. The deeper tools stay on paid plans.
- AI agent visibility. HubSpot’s Breeze and other AI agents can now build workflows on their own. Howly flags workflows created by an AI or data agent with a badge on the card, so you can tell at a glance what a human built from what an agent generated.
- A smarter audit report that reads more like something you’d hand a client and less like a raw dump.
Workflow planning, routed view, and four new MCP tools
Five things shipped this month, most of them straight from agencies working across crowded portals.
- Workflow planning. Draft a workflow on the canvas, choosing object type, enrollment trigger, and actions exactly as you would in HubSpot, and Howly draws the connections in real time against your live portal. Set lifecycle stage to MQL in the planner and you see every existing workflow that value would trigger, before the workflow exists. Every property is pulled live from the connected portal. Howly stays read-only and builds nothing in HubSpot.
- All-connections view with routed layout. Toggle between routed connections, which are far easier to read on a portal with two to four hundred workflows, and the original direct straight-line view. Neither replaces the other. You choose the view that fits the portal in front of you.
- Advanced filters. Filter by status first, then object type (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and custom objects), then trigger and action type. Narrow a 300-workflow portal down to the one workflow setting a specific property to a specific value.
- Portal switching. Hover the HubSpot connection indicator, click Switch Portal, and you’re in another portal in a few seconds. No logging in and out. One agency account supports unlimited client portals.
- Four new MCP tools. Ask Claude about workflow issues and portal health across your connected portals. Claude queries Howly directly and returns a health score, a categorized breakdown, and a prioritized action plan with a direct link to each workflow. The cleanup still happens in HubSpot.
Howly MCP and token persistence
- Howly MCP (first release). A read-only MCP server so you can query your portal health and workflow issues from Claude Desktop and other MCP clients. Personal access tokens are hashed, and the raw token is shown only once when you create it.
- HubSpot connections now persist on the standard in-app connect flow, not just the marketplace install, so server-side features like MCP work however you connected.
- Hardened row-level security across stored tokens and profiles, and tidied the account page.
Benchmarks, AI audits, and marketplace sign-in
- Portal Benchmarks. Compare your portal against industry percentile ranges across ten metrics, so a health score has something to sit against.
- AI audits. The first version of AI-powered audits, with findings grouped by priority and type, powered by Claude and cached to keep reruns instant.
- HubSpot Marketplace sign-in. A cleaner install-and-connect flow for people coming in through the HubSpot Marketplace listing.
- Fixed a bug where paid portals could briefly show a free-trial state. If you were affected, that’s gone.
The first version of Howly
- The first version of Howly: pull every workflow in a HubSpot portal and lay it out as an interactive map.
- Journey maps to trace a single workflow’s upstream and downstream connections.
- Saved canvas layouts, search, and filtering, so the map you set up is the map you come back to.
- The foundation everything since has been built on: read-only, connected over OAuth, and mapping structure rather than touching your records.
